Welcome to the new website of Debrecen International Airport! Where would you like to travel?

The Russian capital, situated on the banks of the Moscow River, is the biggest and most populous city in Europe. With a direct flight it only takes three and a half hours to get to the city of wide avenues, colourful onion-shaped domes, and ornate underground stations.

Moscow is famous for its enormous squares and wide streets, such as the Red Square and Arbat, huge buildings, such as the Kremlin, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Seven Sisters Apartment Complex, and the stations of its extensive network of underground. The cityscape looks diverse because hundreds of modern skyscrapers are built next to tsarist and communist-era monuments.

The Kremlin, a garrisoned citadel of Moscow’s historic core, as well as the country’s cultural and political centre, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990, along with the neighbouring Red Square. The Red Square houses Saint Basil's Cathedral, one of Moscow’s emblematic buildings, as well as Lenin’s Mausoleum.

As Moscow is huge, and you need to travel great distances, it is best to use public transportation, primarily the underground rail network, which is the city’s most essential form of transportation and a sight in itself.
