One of the huge parks is Westfalenpark, which is among the largest and most beloved parks of the city with its 175 hectares of green space. A TV Tower, nicknamed Florian by the residents of Dortmund, is also located here.
The most prominent sights include St. Reinold’s Church with its stained-glass windows and organ, St. Mary’s Church with its Gothic choir, the Petrikirche with its late Gothic altar, and the Old Town Hall.
Dortmund is famous not only for its sights, but its successful football team as well. Borussia Dortmund is one of the strongest clubs in Europe, thanks to which the city is also on the bucket list of many football fans.
